EL MEDIO

Following the tragedy of the Palisades Fire, we were approached by a young family looking to breathe new life into their home and create a space that felt warmer, softer, and more reflective of the way they live. The existing kitchen felt cold and utilitarian, defined by concrete, glass, and stainless steel surfaces that lacked a sense of intimacy and comfort.

Our proposal sought to completely reframe the atmosphere of the space through a richer and more tactile material palette. Natural stained American oak cabinetry, expressive Calacatta marble, and unlacquered brass detailing were carefully layered to bring warmth, depth, and timeless character to the home. The result is a home that feels calm, elegant, and deeply inviting — balancing contemporary functionality with a more residential and human sense of luxury.
